Fish Flu

My Fish Flu symptoms began on Thursday. Then, I was lacking the killer instinct needed to win. I began losing heads-up, blowing mass chip leads in the money and blinding away around the bubble - until finally, I was the bubble.

Friday was flull blown Fish Flu day. Not only was I playing below par, but Lady Luck had even deserted me at final tables costing me $17k worth of seats.

I took most of the day off today. Started playing around 8pm. Warming-up in Bugsys Round 3 by messing about, trying to shake off the Fish Flu. Seems that I am recovering as I managed to avoid the bubble in a Prima Satellite.

Watch out if you're playing at my table as you might be the next player to get a dose of the Fish Flu. You want to sleep with the fishes?

Maxim King of Poker 2006: Preview

Just one week to go to Maxim's King of Poker 2006 Grand Final in London. I will be there to defend my title and if I bust out early the girls and booze will drown my sorrows...

Before then, I'll be trying to use up all my donkey plays before the end of the month. Lately, I've been trying to improve my game by making mistakes/choosing more risky plays in tournaments and I've learned a lot in the process.

Poker is full of secrets - a bit like women ;)

April Rivers

April kicked-off with a lot of excitement as I had lined up a few satellites to major live tournaments.

Somehow though, I failed to qualify for the Irish Open, Irish Poker Tour, WSOP Circuit Event, Ladbrokes Nordic Challenge and Nordic Bet's Baltic Open as well as other smaller events. Just haven't had any luck at online final sats at the moment.

Donkeys

Below is an example, only 21 other players to beat for a WSOP seat and I donkeyed in at 18th. Ok, the tourney did start at 2am DaMatrix Time and with only 1,000 chips and winner take all, I gambled my game on the line with second pair/gutshot draw on a 2-str8/2-flush flop against a possible drawing hand/over pair. As it happens, my opponent had KK and I got crippled. Peege2 was the eventual winner (ICRUSHU2 claimed he already had a WSOP seat).

Got a few tournaments lined up for the last week of April, but May is crunch time.

You know what they say: April rivers bring May dollars.

April tit relief.

Strip Poker.
