Almost Stan's Poker Poker

Almost made it a "Poker" of different 100+ runner Freeroll wins on Stan's Poker. Was sailing along until I lost almost all of my stack with JJ v KK. I was then the short stack with about 25 left but managed to navigate myself to heads-up albeit with a 4-1 chip disadvantage. H/U lasted about 3 hands as I tried to double up early but my 62s ran into 66 and a Q6x flop. Almost.

#4: Freeroll Thursday (2/767)

#3: Sunday Roast Win (1/103)

#2: Freeroll GP Win (1/481)

#1: 200 Freeroll Win (1/5536)

Prima $1,078 WSOP Stud Sat

Another waste of time. Played solid overall but when you catch only one break in 2 hours, in stud, you have no chance.

My nemesis on the night was aceturf who's calling all the way to seventh street strategy paid off for $5952. Heads-up aceturf settled for the cash and so 22-year old Nevin took the $7936 Stud package.

Shitaly

Not going be spending any more time trying to qualify for the WSOP Main event as it looks like I may have other commitments at the start of August. I still have a few qualifiers left but something is telling me that I am not ready yet. We'll see what happens.

Played in the Hendon Mob's World Cup Freeroll on Full Tilt Poker last night. I was happy with my short stack play thoughout the tourney (can't say the same thing about the Azzuri in Italy v USA) and in the end finished 3/86.

HM WC Results

Congrats to Indestructable who won 2 tickets to the World Cup final and $2,000 spending money. Everyone at the final table won a custom FTP soccer shirt which I value at $135 going by the gear in the FTP Shop.

Prima $950 WSOP Short Hand Sat

In this satellite, 1 in 6 qualified for a $5,400 package to play WSOP Event 21: 13th July No-Limit Hold'em - Short handed 6 per table $2,500.

Before the tourney started I warmed-up by taking part in Stan's Poker first ever Sunday Roast Freeroll Tourney. The warm-up didn't go too well but at least I didn't finish in the bubble ;)

Warm-Up Result

The SHed satellite began with 16 players, meaning we were playing for 2 seats and $3.6k for 3rd. Not much to report - I had probably the worst game of poker this year and finished 9th. I had diabolical situation after diabolical situation and even though I made over 90% correct decisions for my game plan I got no result. Pathetic!

Final SHed Result

Quote of the Day: Indiscreet> worst satellite experience ever, but it ended alright:)

דאמטריקס

The Omen was released today, June 6 2006 (i.e. 06/06/06 or 666). Some people believe that 666 (the Number of the Beast) represents the Gematria value of Nero or "Neron Caesar".

Since I have been having some extreme bad luck lately (bubbled out of a total expectancy value of +$25,000), I decided to calculate the value of "DaMatrix" to see if it was 666!

Firstly, I had to transliterate DaMatrix and I found out that it is written as דאמטריקס using Hebrew letters..

Using Gematria, 424 (60/100/10/200/9/40/1/4) thus encodes the letters of DaMatrix). Not The Omen but a very attacking football formation!

Bring on the World Cup!
